| In 1993 the Clinton Administration implemented and established a series of space policies that address a broad range of civil, national, and commerical activities. These policies came about based on the United States' experience over the last 40 years. The National Space Policy was signed by the President in 1996. This insures that the United States will maintain its role as a world leader in space and by supporting strong, stable, balanced national space program.
